The Hotel Residence Tramonto beach is private, the access is allowed only to the hotel guests.
The beach is situated only 10 mts far from the hotel and it is composed of a new beach establishment, bar, covered and shady veranda, toilets, showers, bathing box, first aid, kitchen, kids playground.
There is 1 umbrella, 1 deckchair, 1 sunbed per room.

... history in the river sea
night of 9th December 1862, the Pontificia´s navy steam-boat San Pietro (Saint Peter), sailed from Manfredonia for Ancona, was surprised from a violent storm and sank at about 150 mts east of this currently sandy point, only 10 mts far from the present shoreline.
The San Pietro (Saint Peter) was built in navy shipbuilding of “Dichburn e Mare”, then launched in Blachwall (Great Britain) in 1854. It dislocated 79 tons and it was 32,6 metres long and 4,8 metres wide. It was equipped with engines with 20 horses power with wheel propulsion made by Seaward and Champel and armed with 2 canons.

The construction was ordered for the steam-navigation by a Roman company. It was purchased by the Navy from Pontificia on the18th July 1855 and then baptized “San Pietro”.
The 29th September 1860, after the raise of Ancona, got in possession of Sardinian division.
It made part of navy from Sardinian war from 17th November 1860.
The 17th March 1861 became part of Italian kingdom navy.
The “San Pietro” is the only localized nave of Pontificia´s Navy.
